CFCE - Certified Forensic Computer Examiner

This certification comes from the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists or IACIS. This is the same organization responsible for training and certifying most law enforcement personnel in the discipline of computer forensics. This certification is the most difficult to obtain and the most recognized among computer forensic professionals.

CCFT - Certified Computer Forensic Technician (Advanced)

This certification comes from the High Tech Crime Network or HTCN. The High Tech Crime Network consists of law enforcement and corporate security professionals from fifteen countries. Their membership includes prestigious agencies such as Scotland Yard, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service, US Customs, Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms, Department of Defense, National Security Agency, Naval Investigative Service, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of the Army and many other law enforcement agencies from Belgium, Canada, England, Germany, Norway and the United States, as well as major telecommunication corporations like AT&T, Bellcore and Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOC's) from across the nation.
